Call for Papers

Topics of Interest:

The industry position paper track welcomes submissions describing innovations, implementations, and insights related to privacy, security, and trust applications in the real world. These papers may stem from ongoing projects or finalised endeavours. Notably, we cordially invite submissions that explore critical research domains within the industry, including customer advantages, operational efficiency enhancements, and exemplary practices, among other thought-provoking subjects. We welcome high-quality original (unpublished) position papers in the broader cybersecurity topics such as:

  • Performance evaluation of Cybersecurity technologies.
  • Cybersecurity in the era of quantum computing.
  • Cybersecurity challenges in unconventional ICT domains.
  • Novel privacy-preserving technology deployment and experience.
  • Operational Security (OpSec) including learning lessons from practice.
  • Security of Critical Infrastructure.
  • Experience in IT/OT Security Integration.
  • AI and weaponization of Cybersecurity tools.
  • Ethical usage of AI for enhancing privacy, security, and trust.
  • Geopolitics and the impact on Security and Trust.
  • Nth supplier assessment, particularly for manufacturing and ubiquitous devices and applications.
  • Inherent bias in the recruitment agencies particularly those hindering women’s progress in security roles.
  • Active threat actors and impacts on national and global security.
  • Legal and Regulatory Frameworks and Policies in Cybersecurity and Privacy.

Instructions to Authors:

For the Industry Day track submissions, authors should follow these steps: (a) Go to the Submission link: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=pst2024 (b) Click on "Make a New Submission", (c) Authors MUST ensure to select the "Industry" track when submitting their position paper. All submissions should be properly anonymised; papers not properly anonymised may be rejected without review. Furthermore, at least one author must have an affiliation with an industrial organisation. Papers will undergo a peer-review process and selected papers will appear in conference proceedings upon registration. At least one author of accepted work must register and present their work in a poster session. This can be done either virtually or in person at UNSW Sydney.

Paper Formatting:

  • Short Papers should not exceed 4 pages (plus a maximum of 2 pages for references).
  • The standard IEEE two-column conference format should be used for all submissions.

You will also need to prepare a visually compelling and informative poster showcasing your research work. Your poster for the accepted paper should be either be either A0 (841 x 1189 mm) or ANSI E (34.0 x 44.0 inches). and can be designed as a whole or with sections. Focus on creating a visually appealing and informative poster that highlights your research problem, methods, results, and contributions. It should effectively communicate your work to both industry professionals and academics.
