Direct Air Capture (DAC) is a technology that captures carbon dioxide (CO₂) directly from ambient air. In the DAC process, air is drawn into a system where it passes over chemical sorbents or filters, which selectively bind to CO₂. The captured CO₂ is then separated from these sorbents through heating or a chemical reaction, creating a concentrated CO₂ stream. This CO₂ can then be compressed for storage, typically in underground geological formations, or utilized in industries like fuels, chemicals, or materials production. DAC is considered a promising approach for reducing atmospheric CO₂ levels and addressing climate change, especially in conjunction with carbon storage
